Striving to improve healthcare for millions
The Hinduja Foundation UK is delighted to be able to make a philanthropic donation of £3,000,000 to King’s to support full PhD studentships…in healthcare technologies at the School of Biomedical Engineering & Imaging Sciences. Part of the Hinduja – King’s Health Partners Academy, these funds will be directed to students domiciled in India to the benefit of healthcare in both the UK and India.
Could you be one of our Hinduja PhD Scholars?
Thanks to the generosity of the Hinduja Foundation UK, we are looking to recruit up to 10 Hinduja Scholars over the next 5 years to be part of our mission to engineer innovation in surgery and intervention.
Our Hinduja Scholars will be aligned with the EPSRC CDT in Advanced Engineering for Personalised Surgery & Intervention undertaking fully funded doctoral research guided by our world-class supervisors.
To be eligible, you must be an Indian national normally domiciled in India.
4-year PhD scholarships include:
- Stipend: a tax-free living allowance of £24,780 per year (AY 2025/26)
- Fees: coverage of international fees
- RTSG: up to £20,000 over 4 years for research consumables and attending national and international conferences.
- Please note that scholarships do not cover the costs associated with getting to the UK. These include but are not limited to the visa application fee, International Healthcare Surcharge, and flights. The costs associated with getting to the UK must be met by scholars.
