Strong links with industry
Partnering with industry is essential to the success of the CDT. It enables translation of our research and strengthens our understanding of the commercial challenges in the surgical and interventional engineering sector. There are several ways for companies of all sizes and specialisms within the field to collaborate with the CDT.
While all our partnerships are unique, organisations typically choose to work with the CDT by sponsoring a specific research project. Project proposals are normally introduced at CDT industry events and through independent meetings between supervisors and interested companies. Additionally, a variety of other means exist to contribute to students’ training and research.
