Causal responsibility explanations for the classification of brain MRIs within clinical frameworks

Explainable AI (XAI) is a critical technology for making AI models more transparent and trustworthy. This is particularly important in the clinical setting. This project will seek to adapt a pre-existing general XAI tool, called Causal Responsibility Explanations (ReX), to the case of a clinically developed brain MRI classification model (MIDI). This will require an understanding both of the algorithmic workings of ReX as well as the clinical tasks involved in neuroradiology, facilitating the development of a truly multi-disciplinary approach and mind-set.
